The problem I have found
with the whole 'Pistols pioneering punk music' is that it's a farce.
Sex Pistols - Manufactured 'boy-band'. McLaren captured hold of something good that was happening and took some East-End scumbags, taught them how to play instruments, and put them forward as a new venture.
John Lydon annoys me, for the fact he was supposedly punk (regardless of whether he claimed to be punk or not) yet, having seen him recently doing interviews, his morals and his attitudes are that of a middle-class tory voter. and it seems he's always felt like this. Totally the contrary of everything he was the 'face' for.
and that's my problem with the Pistols. Still, God Save The Queen is a good song.
