Meh.I reckon Darwinian evolution is on it's way out. I think it's, at best, a decent rule of thumb (like the sultana pudding model of atomics or the 2,8,8,8 etc. electron shell theory).
I have no idea how it really works though. I'm more of a chemist than a biologist.
