maybe...just because the finger is there doesn't mean he's playing it, my finger does that when baring a 5th with my third finger. and why would he be playing a Maj9 (not as second finger on the wrong string) if he's suppose to be rocking out?! e powerchords all the way baby :)

erm.count strings from the bottom, you'll notice he's on the second string, i first thought it was a B until I noticed the E string was not actually being touched ;)

Hence the /E the open E is being used as a variant insteadI suggest you explore open harmonic chords. They sound lully BTW especially if you're using a 12 string

hmmmmmmm,only things it can be from his positioning would be an E5 or Amaj7 at a push but no B, wrong strings. oh well, agree to disagree :)
