Was the same with Dixons and film camerasYet you can still buy them easily. I don't think the staff are trained to handle difficult questions about anything more than 3 weeks old :)

Best thing with Dixonsis to ignore them. Anyone intrested in film, esp 35mm or above goes to Jessops or similar anyway.

That all depends on your digital camera.I have a few compacts plus an SLR. I have 4 SLR35mm and over 20 lenses collecting dust in the wardrobe. I will never use them again. It's just obsolete.
