Yet you can still buy them easily. I don't think the staff are trained to handle difficult questions about anything more than 3 weeks old :)

Best thing with Dixons
is to ignore them. Anyone intrested in film, esp 35mm or above goes to Jessops or similar anyway.

though Dixons were idiots at pricing things so you could usually rip them off easily ;)

Jessops is on verge of bankruptcy (I'm waiting for big liquidation sale)
medium format and a scanner is 100 times better than digital camera

That all depends on your digital camera.
I have a few compacts plus an SLR. I have 4 SLR35mm and over 20 lenses collecting dust in the wardrobe. I will never use them again. It's just obsolete.
