They can't get through the gates to my frontdoor so that solves a lot ( solves me taking their faces for a trip round the gravel ) but I also registered with the mailing preference service and went to see the local postmaster telling him that evry piece of litter his postie puts in my box is going back in the post box ( as I always used to do ) because they have to return it to sender and it costs both the post office and the sender. I get zero spam mail and zero cold calls.
Edit:// that's here up North of course. I have not got a chance at the London flat where there can be 30 pizza boys a day vying for my telephone trade with their spam. Next time I'm there and not working I think I shall stage a vigil at the door.

Likewise.I find 'return to sender, unknown at this address' stops all further mail, although the RPS isn't working so well at this house as it has elsewhere.
