# Ah
I'm still awaiting my version of cs3 so I didn't know this. It's actually kind of the opposite of what I thought they'd do. I could have seen them extending imageready's capabilities to enable it to make simple flash movies (in other words, simple vector animation). I'm a little disappointed with this outcome, but on the other hand in recent PS/CS versions it's been a bit ridiculous to have a second app just for animation.

# I think that
The whole appropriation of Macromedia and with that, flash, has made adobe market their packages differently. I don't see flash ever entering into the photoshop realm as adobe need to sell flash 9 and fireworks as separate items.
That's the reason the packages are set up in the way that they are. If I was to make a suggestion to anyone thinking of buying I would say unless you own studio 8 then get a package of CS3 tools and unless you are predominantly a web monkey then CS3 design premium is the way to go. I had studio 8 and 4 full adobe products before and my upgrade cost £724.79. I got no fireworks or contribute in this but I never use them. What I did get was this.
