# My boyfriend saw it a few weeks ago...
and was rather ho-hum about it. He said it was more in the way of videoed street fights between 18 year old boys, with the bum exploitation edited in as a sort of secondary feature. Regarding the bums: he said it was mostly the rich frat boy dickhead "filmmakers" making the bums do really weak jackass style stunts and a few drunken brawls between paid bum participants for pathetically small amounts of food/cash. I can see the reason for the uproar, as the boys that made it are millionaires now, and the stars of the video are still old drunks living in cardboard boxes. One of them even has "Bumfights" tattooed across his forehead - I believe they gave him $5.00 to do that.

Maybe I've got a really strong constitution, or (more likely) am really jaded, but the goatse.cx dudes anus just doesn't do anything for me.

He expected to be really super double horrible - he's a sociology major from a poor background and gets all wound up about exploitation of the lower classes and all that - but it was really just regular run of the mill Jackass/COPS/Springer Show kind of horrible.
