My fave being the woman who kept nagging for a discount (in a food shop ffs) so to stop her whinges I gave her a couple of bags of crisps that had just past their expiry date (and I explained that to her but she wasn't bothered).
The next day she phoned to complain that we had 'sold her outdated crisps' and demanded a full refund.

yeahsee, if you in a position of what is assumed to be reasonable authority and do something "nice" you can end up with hassle for it
