and yes, the xbox is a PC in a box
a box that doesn't have to be 'upgraded' every 6 months (my original is still played and it's 5 years old
could you imagine playing PC games on a 5 year old PC?)
a box that doesn't force me to 'check my system requirements' everytime i purchase a game
a box that hosts 'finished' games that are without the need of patches and fixes after release
a box that's dedicated to running games, not office software and tinternets :)
i love PC games, it's just such a shitty market
that rewards it'sa followers by releasing stuff they can no longer play
without spending another £400 on the latest Graphics card
i only use my PC for RTS games, it's the only area it has the advantage
i hate MMORPGs, they just look poo, especially the fighting
give me a proper one player RPG any day

Oh I don't disagreeit's just a situation that suits me personally. I'd upgrade my machine regardless of being a gamer. I'm just like that. I'm a bit of geek with graphics cards and will always buy new when something substantially new arrives in the ATI portfolio.
I suppose it will all change in a couple of years when my boy is old enough to want to have a console.
