I'm just disturbed how quickly time passes.

Just looking through the first two pages in google on the seven-nation riff (since I have a strong feeling it pre-dates the White Stripes, whether Jack came to it independently or not)..
all these posts about what a classic riff it is and how it's the first thing people learnt on guitar!

Sure, "Smoke on the Water" was one of the first things I learnt.. but so was "Black Night". Hey, I liked Deep Purple when I was ten.
