...for a financial services site. I'm a self-employed web writer - getting freelance work is mostly about calling in favours, using old contacts, and having some sort of portfolio and demonstrable experience.
It's not as glam as it sounds when you tell people you're a freelance writer. There are only so many times you can write "your investment can go down as well as up" before you lose the will to live. And the only person I've spoken to in two days is the plumber.
