I didn't really think of the technical quality of it much, but I've just recently figured out a couple of simple methods to get edges of blurry things and shadows to stay 'correct' looking in transparent GIFs, but it can take quite a bit of tinkering to make it perfect, so I normally don't bother just for simple silly stuff like this.

Had nowt better to do, in this instance...

Still wouldn't work over anything strongly coloured or very dark tho.
