# He is such an ego, he can't handle the fact that another less experienced driver is getting more attention - and rightly so!
He will end up at Ferrari next year.

# Ferrari have two contracted drivers and really don't like Alonso
he's back to Renault most likely with Rosberg taking his place at Mclaren.

# I bet you 5p he ends up at Ferrari

# This.
He'll be the next Schumacher. A figure of hate. Perfect for ferrari.

# i dunno,
definately won't be ferrari, but i'm not sure that he'll be back at renault, maybe BMW or williams if they can get the sponsorship in to pay his wages.
still reckon webber deserves the drive in maclaren, he's got talent and the biggest pair of bollocks in the field at the moment (how many other drivers would carry on driving with their arse on fire/puke in their helmet)

# this is a good point
I was very surprised he didn't pit after that. Yuck.

#
BMW have already named their drivers for next year, though I did wonder if he would too. Williams just can't afford him or offer him the service he wants and Frank is notorious for refusing to give in to driver ego which would really not work for Fernando.

# fair point
if Sir frank wasn't like that i think they'd be willing to replace a driver, basically williams and BM are the only two teams alonso would go to (if you take the big three out) as red bull wouldn't be able to offer him the salary he'd demand.
i'll put my 5p on BMW then

# how?
if you're talking about the two contract disputes he had with honda and williams in consecutive careers he did the best thing for his career each time. since then he's calmed down and grown up, and is driving his heart out week after week, Honda just decided to be eco-friendly this year instead of getting sponsors/investing in their car.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 19:21, archived)
# he also has incredible bad luck with technical problems related to his car.
But that's down to Honda.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 19:22, archived)
# *Note to Honda*
Do not try new things with your car when the other 10 teams are going down the tried and tested route, you'll FAIL
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 19:23, archived)
# I honestly think so too. Get Button back in a good car and I think he would get some good podium finishes

# He's been offered his drive at Renault next year
