Well, a series of short storiesStarting with Dagon and including stories like the Call of Cthulhu and Shadow Over Innsmouth, all well worth reading too. The Cthulhu mythos was hijacked by a bunch of clueless tools after Lovecraft died, true, but it doesn't detract from the value of the stories. (Also, the most recent PC game was pretty decent.)
