I've a plan for colouring behind the black too! Eraser tool, set one colour as white, and the other as the colour you want to change it too, then right click + drag.

You could enlarge the canvas, duplicate the image, and colour over everthing, before pasting the original over the top though!

# With the eraser, if you set the left click as the colour you want to change, and right as the colour you want it to be it works a treat.
