but did they fuck you over by causing panic on the streets of Newcastle?

this whole 'crisis' would never have come about if the govt hadn't said that they'd been ASKED for a loan. until that point NR didn't need the money they'd requested, it was just an emergency procedure, after the announcement so much money was withdrawn that they now needed the loan.

I was subbed at Luton when they closed Vauxhall. Literally thousands out of work at a stroke. Me included; and i had just reached a career highlight- on the design team for the VX220. Yes folks, if it catches fire blame me coz I did the wiring loom. I then did a few years in defence. Dont ask coz I wont tell.
Now i work in a fecking warehouse counting suits.
Sob stories? I got 'em and the north don't own 'em.

i'm kinda a bit worried now cos my sister in law works for northern rock. she's comfortable enough that she's not immediately at risk of losing her job, but if it escalates to the point of massive or total redundancies then she may be screwed, and although my bro earns a fair wage it won't be enough to support the family.
