If you don't feel that it's gratifying when people enjoy your creations and its painful when they are derided then they are unlikely to be of worth to you, in creation and in display.
If you've truly created your works for yourself alone what reason could you have for their display?
I'm not trying to have a dig, placing one's creations in the public domain is commendable, but I have trouble understanding your motivations.
Besides, if you'd punched her stupid vaccous-valley girl face in, you'd be wasting valuable doodling time.
