3-4 hours a night now and have done for years. I may get 5 hours if I get really steaming, comatose drunk the night before. I have a site meeting at 7 am tomorrow and around midnight I realised to my horror I was sober, so I'm hammering the bacardi in the hope I will get a few hours sleep. Insomnia is the worst curse.

Is this operation available at bupa? And just how long would I get free amphetamine before I absolutely, positively had to admit I don't actually need the op?

i'm actually having the surgery done in an ex-bupa hospital. they give you a morphine drip with a button. you press the button, you get morphine. they will take it off you, however, if you press the button too much

they tend to only take them off you when they're empty as they're programmed to only work a specific number of times (normally once every 5 minutes) and the pain team are too busy to actually check the usage statistics of each patient, so unless you're in pain and it's having no effect they just leave you to it
