there seems to be some sort of negative adjective irony in the young these days.

I think you would say something like: 'That is the fucking shit!'

'That is hot as shit!'

OR, and I stress, or

'That is fuck-off well shit-hot'

I don't understand it, but they all seem to be accepted as strongly complimentary. I'm uncomfortable about general usage.
