oh right. The conversation was of sweet wines I thought.Then without a doubt if you want white go for the burgundy area for a good chablis or puilly-fuissé. Suavignon from the Loire valley and a chardonnay from as far south as possible, like a Viognier.

Ahh, well - from the LoireOne to try is Old Vine Muscadet. It's aged in sherry barrels, and tastes nothing like normal Muscadet. More like a really classy White Burgundy.
But Puligny-Montrachet is still my fave.
