# One unnamed woman told Auntie:
'Owls are the symbol of Oldham so I would have thought if they put an owl in the middle of there it would be better.'

Why 90% of the public don't do graphic design.

# Yay us!
They should've got someone from here to do their logo.

(Guess what next week's contest is!!)

# it should have 100 owls chasing CDCs over the moors
far more symbolic and helps you remember never to go to Oldham

# Ha ha :)
But it's a strange thing. Having designed a fair few logo type gubbins for public bodies, companies, councils and the like, a brainstorming session with the client will ALLWAYS with-out-fail feature them saying.... "well I thought you could do a circle and put "insert client relevant thing" inside it"

Must be the way we are all wired up the same....

# hehe
i done a logo once, i was well proud, wish i did that sort of thing for a living

# I designed about a dozen
all are just words in a pretty font....

but then Im cheap and people who employed were cheapskates so why not

I miss those brainstorming meetings - all those biscuits and for free

# what?
no tea?
(, Thu 17 Apr 2008, 17:02, archived)
# Of course there was tea
there's always tea. Who can work without tea
(, Thu 17 Apr 2008, 17:07, archived)
# thank fuck for that
i was worried they were only giving you biscuits, free tea is much greater than free biscuits (although both is exponentially greater)
