It failed because the PS2 was so utterly huge.Shops were actually advising people against Dreamcast in favour of PS2.
I'd say the PSOne was a superb console as well. People look down on the Sony systems because of their stigma, but beyond your Tomb Raiders there were shitloads of great, innovative titles.
But yes, SNES best so far.
