Tony Slattery was fairly amusing at times.Although I think that may well have been because he was actually clinically insane.
Colin Montgomery and Ryan Miles made that show though.

He was occasionally in the earlier ones.He wasn't very funny though, he just intentionally refused to get jokes or go along with the stuff generally in a way which was meant to be funny but wasn't.

I wish they would release Paul Merton's series on DVDThat was one of the only shows (including Alexei Sayle's 'Stuff') that would send me into fits of breathless, choking, tears-in-eyes laughter

I don't get that kind of laughter often, more the fact I don't laugh much when I find something funny than the actual quality of material.But generally there are a few scattered comments or lines in the really good shows which will make me burst out laughing.
Plus the first time I saw Stewart Lee's Scotch routine I nearly pissed myself from the sheer bravery of it. Glasweigens rarely laugh at being called gay paedophiles.

Same here - I don't laugh out loud that often,but it's fantastic when something creeps up on me and makes me unexpectedly guffaw :)
