Everywhere in the net and in real life, there are certain expectations to be met when joining something newIt's up to the person to check it out, look at how things work and join in - every now and again they might fuck up royally and might get flamed by some of the less patient members, but it's all part of life's rich tapestry and learning. Even places like 'Hilda's Knitting Forum' is going to be populated by people who treat newbies who fuck up with some kind of contempt.
I personally think b3ta /board is one of the more fluffier areas of the internet.
