replying to my own post:this appears to work differently under Windows 2000 compared to XP - with XP the images resize while you are moving the window, whereas under 2000 they only move after you have let go of the edge handle.
I assume this is how 2000 does things as IE also operates the same. Apologies if you are on 2000 as the effect is not nearly so good :[ If anyone knows how to force browsers operating under win 2000 to resize while you are dragging, reply here or gaz me.
