# 'oh yeah, and some smoked salmon in mine'
'haha this is mental. yeah smoked salmon in mine too'
*nathan drinks*
'ha ha! that means i win! i win this one!'

ahh brilliant.
although... the series confuses me somewhat. it's supposed to be a satire on like... idiots. right? but half the stuff they do IS funny. because of it's pure level of retardedness.

# Well I think that was due to the fact that it was written by Charlie Brooker AND Chris Morris.
Chris Morris tends to usually do quite dark and dry satire, whereas Charlie Brooker usually fills his stuff with absurdist wankers showing his hatred for every human lifeform.

# ha
yeah.
i read his column.

though it was spoiled a little bit by seeing him on screenwipe... because he came across as this slightly awkward geek
which made his hatred seem a little less righteous, and a little more pathetic.

which is a shame...

# Screenwipe is amazing though.
Also the rage is mainly ironic, such as him saying TV psychics should die alone in prison cells with no windows. The whole idea is that he's not a violent or even particularly angry person, he's the kind of generally passive person who gets really fucking annoyed at people and due to his nature can't really actually get annoyed at them.

Also you should answer my proposition down there for a collab and/or sex.
Thus is the whole crux of Charlie Brooker, he wants to fucking kill everyone with an axe but he can't because he's a passive man.

# no no of course
but i think he works better in words than in person.
the main reason probably being because he's a writer, not an actor.

also i did. go read.

# I don't know.
I'd say Screenwipe is pretty pretty brilliant and I don't have too much difficulty seperating his behaviour in it and in his non-screenburn columns (which are the ones which generally have all the threats of violence and swearing in). The columns are generally him railing against the fucking travesty that we call society in his typically misanthropic way, whereas Screenwipe is a postmodern self deprecating take of television. I think without his constantly insulting himself he wouldn't be able to get away with the irony and the scenes with him shouting at runners really violently. Otherwise he would have just seemed like an angry twat instead of an angry intelligent post modern twat.
