I don't know.I'd say Screenwipe is pretty pretty brilliant and I don't have too much difficulty seperating his behaviour in it and in his non-screenburn columns (which are the ones which generally have all the threats of violence and swearing in). The columns are generally him railing against the fucking travesty that we call society in his typically misanthropic way, whereas Screenwipe is a postmodern self deprecating take of television. I think without his constantly insulting himself he wouldn't be able to get away with the irony and the scenes with him shouting at runners really violently. Otherwise he would have just seemed like an angry twat instead of an angry intelligent post modern twat.
