If I set my delay to 10 it self oscillates into mechanical death noise...

Indeed, probably one of several tho.
I can heartily recommend the akai headrush e2. Really natural, easy to use, and it's a great delay and tape sim when it's not looping.

They are big, but they are top
great vfm imho. Akai pedals are always top. Got their phaser too which is good.
