
that's exactly the point i'm trying to make. they're doing what they need to do. they're not the ones moaning about unethical treatment. the ones who are doing that are the well-fed europeans with the cushy jobs and nice houses who know nothing about the situation except that these children are being paid what in europe would be a pittance.

minimum wage in India is £1 per day but they are only paying 52p per day.
If they paid the going minimum wage then the parents could work and the children could have a childhood.

they're up at the crack of dawn every day and earn about a tenner a week. kids never get paid as much as adults, it's the same everywhere. the country needs a huge economic upheaval, but it simply isn't ready for it yet. it may never be ready.
