It's a different experience, sort of like bumming.
Takes a while to get used to it, and it doesn't feel the same as when you were on a computer before, and you can't do as much, but some bits are better.

I mostly want it for dealing with digital photos on the move, some music, and some interwebs. Reckon I'd be ok with it?

I like the fact that there aren't any viruses (mainly because using a Mac can be torture enough) and some things are fairly useful, but it's not awful.
Switching between PC and Mac after a few weeks at a time is a proper mind fuck though, and don't get it if you want games. Some work, but I canne live without 'em.
