It's the only explanation why neither of them made a move on Cheetara (I'm getting all these names from Wikipedia, by the way, my memory isn't THAT good). It's not like Lion-o had a shot; if I remember right he was basically a big man-child due to a dodgy cryogenic thing.
Anyway, needless to say, Panthro was the butch and Tygra was the bitch.
