i see your pointhaving said that it does affect me; laws are made by religious people that outlaw things (example: homosexuality until 40 years ago or abortion in America right now), wars are started by religions (perhaps less Christians now - but you guys had your moments) so it does affect me and I find the idea that the murder of a man 2000 years ago can inspire good in people now either ludicrous or insane.
please note: I'm just spelling out my opinion and justifying my beliefs (something everyone should be able to do).

I can't really take responsibility for homophobic laws and religious warsdue to the fact that I don't agree with either of them. Certainly, if it were up to me both things wouldn't exist.

anyway i think thats enough of this debate for the time being.
if your interested i recommend Thomas Paine's 'The age of reason' as a good book to have a read through - a very considered and well written argument both for and against religion. A book everyone should read as it is very applicable to modern times.
