Not worth it as
a TV ( but I've been told the screens are now Samsung made and they were not when I got mine ). I was not happy with the quality. As a monitor it's passable but the resolution is a bit low and it can't handle HD signals ( even though the TV is HD compliant, it only has VGA input )
I'm using it because I have it and it's ok for gaming but not really a serious monitor option. The Toshiba Regza is brilliant as either but then that's what you pay for.
If you are on a budget and want a good contrast ratio monitor then look no further than this

I have used LG for years and they are one of the biggest companies in their field. I think they are excellent quality. Still got my 6 year old LG Studioworks CAD CRT monitors and they are working like new.

Lions

Then you are going to
have to spend a grand on a 30" monitor or get a high quality TV with HDMI and have an HDMI DX10 graphics card that is compatible.
If you just want something that works then any 32" good quality TV will do the job but don't expect hi def resolution.
