My brother does a lot of recovery stuff, but with NTFS rather than HFS+, so I might need to wet his beak a bit.

# Alternatively you can purchase the exact same harddrive off ebay, presuming its an older one.
Take the palattes out of old harddrive with data on, swap with new blank harddrive.

Of course this is sort of dependent on how easy harddrives are to take apart, and they aren't. Stupid magnets.
