I heard there were loads of parakeets that were loose around the general areaI've not seen any though. Tonnes of kites, but no parakeets.

Yeah those are the ones.Parrots, parakeets. I'll be damned if I know the difference.
Haven't seen many recently though, few years ago in winter you would get about a hundred of them sitting on our cherry tree, making them look like really weird leaves.

One was sat in the middle of my front lawn a few weeks ago.At about nine when it was still quite light, about three feet away from a main road. Then he got scared when a car drove past, silly fox.

Personally I think that instead of killing them it would make more sense trying to train them.Then just parachute platoons of them into countries instead of military forces.
