# Football needs to be given much less importance by the media
...if not British society as a whole- then we'd start to see some slightly more reasoned analysis of matches/general team performance.

'It's not a matter of life and death, it's more important than that' seems to have stopped being a funny quote and started being a philosophy.

# Some of the media ignored this in the Olympics
Not all Britain's gold medal winners were professionals - they also had day jobs and earn less in a year than a footballer earns in a month.

# For sure,
The amounts of money involved in the prem leage is just obscene; Lampard being paid £120,000 a WEEK is just disgusting!

I think you'll find a lot of prem league supporters deserting it in favour of lower leage clubs because it's more accessible to the 'normal' fan; not just coporate sponsors.

My best mate was at the Emirates yesterday in a corporate box to the tune of £900, which worked out at about £75 each

# Kicking a ball is clearly a useful and important skill in todays society,
and is essential for the betterment of mankind.
If anything, they deserve more cash.
