# Still playing Monster Hunter?
I could never get into it. I got Crisis Core for my Birthday. It's very good.

# Which one did you have?
Because I've been with it since the beta test of the first game on the PS2, then had to make do with japanese versions of unreleased sequels, and now have finally managed to persuade a PSP off someone but ultimately the experience is still hampered by lack of any real online gaming.

It's not really an acquired taste, the game is fairly straight forward and pleasurable twatting things with big sticks, but I think you just have to be able to get past the grinding aspect to it, which this version seems to have got rid of a lot of.

# I played the first PSP iteration.
It just seemed to a lot of chores. Now, don't get me wrong, I love twatting things with big sticks but, there seemed to be a lot of work between twatting and that just aint fly.

# The "Get 2 pieces of raw meat"
"Cook 2 well done steaks"
"Gather 10 special mushrooms"

Yeah they've had that in them for ages, but for this one have thankfully got rid of them, just putting that stuff in a training school section for if you need to learn how to play. It also gives you a full basic suit of armour and the first version of each of the ten weapons to try out and choose from. Plus there's a farm bit now which you can gather some materials from which you would usually have to fuck about in quests just to get.

# Maybe I'll have to check it out.
I didn't bring my PS3 to uni so I'm replaying all my old PSP games.
Starting with the greatest of them all, LocoRoco.

# Well it does provide many hours of killing.
I've logged 45 hours and am still in shitty armour facing off with level 1 massive things.
