ah who am I kidding, there is no helping you ;)

2gb is not enough, especially if you have only 1 partition. You should know that if your OS does not have a good 5-10gb free on the partition it is installed in your OS will run like a girl.

I'll just wait till I have some pennies to get a few decent sized drives

or I'll just go "FUCK THIS" and buy a couple of 1tb drives on mr credit :)

I have Athlon 2600XP's on boards sat in boxes i'll probably throw out. I think I have an athlon dual core 3200 on a board with 2gb of mem somehwere and I'm buying some more phenoms for upgrade soon.

You can't be running on that old stuff. it's just not right.

lack of ram of course will turn it into a dead slug :)
