I'm going for

2 1TB 10k rpm ones. They are cheap as chips, the only problem is the price drops weekly and i hate waste ;)

I see boards now that arent that expensive that seem to have sata sockets breeding like crazy on them

it gives one certain idiotic ideas about quite how much storage I could have in one machine now

but being a peon I'll give that a miss for now :)

I could get 6 of those 1.5tb drives and have 9tb across 3 machines

then.. when all the drives are full and I have nothing to back it up to, it all dies at once and I lose 9tb of crap

sounds like fun :D
