is it a 2 zipper?
pull the top one to the bottom, hold down, insert other part of the zip, make sure it goes all the way to the bottom, pull zip up :)
second zip is designed for when you sit/kneal down so you don't get tightness around your areas
£250? blimey I could buy 250 jackets for that! yay for ebay leather jackets - loffle

the secret to staying warm this time of year is layers
Toppest
Wooly thermal hat (if its real cold, wear a baseball cap under the hat too)
Top
Thermal base layer, shirt, mid layer, fleece, gilet, padded ski jacket,
middlish
gloves + thermal liner
bottom
Thermal base layer, jogging trousers, jeans, salopettes
bottomest
Two pairs of socks, including long thermal socks, good pair of proper leather boots
this is when I had to work on my car in the snow! stupid weather! was nice and warm, not too bad for 3 hours sat on my ass in the snow! had to keep the tea flowing though!
