it is still a good film, but very silly in places.. Romero wasn't a brilliant film maker by any means, but was great at creating a world, a sense of atmosphere

hilarious first five minutes, is quite good IMHO. This is much more consistently good, whilst still being mega low budget. Everything I've seen of his since has been tat though.
