
was to get up the banks of this bridge and then into the girders under the bridge deck and work your way to the centre. We'd watch for ships and spit on them but the real reason we were there was to wait for the trains to go over as we hung on for dear life.
On the right we hung a rope 'Tarzan' from about the centre and if you backed up high enough on the soil bank you were almost assured of slamming into the brick support pillar to the great cries and admiration of your pals.
