It's a fairly wide genre.Besically it means rock that doesn't stick to the generic rock bounderies. It doesn't mean Rick Wakeman wanking on a keyboard.

I though that that's come under contention. Just as a genre is famed for an era doesn't mean it stops existing and evolves.
