I maintain I have far less talent than most peeps on these boards,I merely possess a shed load of patience and time. A few good references and a willingness to change hours of work are usually pretty helpful too.
That and a copy of illustrator.

Is that Adobe illustrator.......I have PS but find it a bit daunting (as in I know what I want to do, but just can't seem to relay that to the program (not PS problem, mine for being lazy!).

Indeed.A very powerful program, it is. Has some odd quirks that will catch you out if you treat it like photoshop.
Everything in my profile (apart the digii painting in Potato-Shop at the bottom) is me fiddling around and learning who to use illustrator in the last week, so it can't be that hard.
