Ning Sir :)Awoke at 6am and was phoned at 7 on the dot. Lovely man from a Korean school asked questions about how my visa application is going. All went very well indeed. Provisional arrival date is now the last week of February but I can leave one week later if the embassy are slow in processing.

Oh splendid, that is excellent news.You'll be dangerously close to failed, hostile and potentially nuclear state very soon :). Do go to the DMZ, it sounds well interesting. The North Korean guards face each other so if any tries to run off he can be quickly shot.
The Midlands are reasonably snowtastic but we didn't grind to a halt like London. At uni humanities closed for the day, but they're all wimpy arty types so that's to be expected. We economists soldiered on.

Ah, classic Humanities.I think it was last year when half the roof blew off and Library Road had to shut. Good times. My brother lives in South Leam (he's also a second year, doing History) and reported mild disruption but nothing more.
South Korea isn't harsh at all, it's got many connections to the West. I think that it's the teaching of children part that requires extra checks. I don't mind at all though, as the boredom of acquiring the endless documents led me to join this site.
