I did eventually get to have a go with a friend's Big Trakand actually it was a bit disappointing.
I think it would take literally days to program it to deliver an apple to dad, like in the advert.

EDIT: actually, thinking about it, my dad would either have stepped on it, or dismantled it to 'see how it works' within 24 hours of me getting it.
