You can get some nice sample packs from fruityloopsof course I wouldn't recommend fruityloops as an actual music production program but you can still get some nice sample packs to make your own crisp beats.

I still refuse to move on from cool edit so I can't really criticiseI have an MPC sitting on a shelf which I feel very guilty about. A friend has lent it to me.
