the palette is lower than it looksanimations taken from footage are invariably larger in filesize because of the transitional colours, whereas an animation like this is just drawing from primary colours and maybe 1 or 2 off-colors for each primary colour, which still isn't very much - I'm guessing this was a 32 colour anim altogether
