Shoving paper and crap in fornt of the will screw up the sound (specifically the high frequencies)

and they are about 1cm off on the left but that's because the left one is off the desk and sits a touch lower than it. I could put it on the desk but that brings the left a foot nearer my head and I'd have to do all sorts of messing with the sounblaster surround setup to fix that.

I still to this day love going into places like Currys and looking at the hifis until I get a spotty yoof telling me how wonderful the particular model is.
Then point out to them that it's not been set up right and they have phase cancellation.

and I like to put my feet on it when I'm playing something scary in the dark.
My surround monitors are behind me on the walls but off right now because one id abut 4ft away and ythe other about 12. I can only fix that with speaker stands but I'm happy with the 2:1 to be honest. It's very, very meaty but super clarity up top.
