may as well get this out of the way, still images should be no more than 100kb, that could easily be nearer 60kb with no loss of quality, bear it in mind for the future.
some handy tips on optimisation here:

in a nutshell if you're using photoshop, 'save for web' in the file menu is the way to go, dead easy to fiddle with file size.

oh, and should you ever want to change anything about your post, hit the edit tab under it don't delete and start again, it causes earthquakes in jade goody.
